| Standard = Forever |
Standard components have no end date. They run until you uncheck them. |
| Fixed-Period = Automatic Stop |
Fixed-period components stop automatically after the end date. |
| Fixed-Period Overrides Standard |
If the same component exists in both sections, the fixed-period amount takes priority during its date range. |
| Don't Duplicate |
Avoid having the same component in Standard AND Fixed-Period unless you intentionally want an override. |
| One Row Per Period |
Each fixed-period row represents one component for one date range. For rate changes, use separate rows with non-overlapping dates. |
| Delete and Re-add |
To change the component type on a fixed-period row, delete it and add a new one. |
