A brief guide to the eight analytics dashboards under Analytics in Factura HRMS — what each one answers, what to look at, and how to read the numbers.

Conventions shared by every dashboard

Read these once — they apply everywhere and aren't repeated in full below.

  • Filters move everything together. The period picker and the Group / Location / Department filters at the top of a page drive every KPI, chart and grid at once — narrow the filter and all numbers change in step, so cards and charts never disagree.
  • Privacy floor (n ≥ 5). Groups smaller than 5 people (and pay medians under 10) are suppressed at the source, not just hidden — expect small departments to roll up or disappear. No individual salary is ever shown.
  • Stock vs flow — don't add them. A stock is a snapshot balance (leave liability, loan outstanding, headcount); a flow is an amount over a period (cost, payments, accruals). Different accounting bases — summing across cards is meaningless.
  • Computed ≠ remitted/filed. Statutory and cost figures are what payroll calculated. They are not proof that money was paid out, a return was filed, or a tax was remitted.
  • "Not assessed" ≠ "no problem." A grey / no-data state means a check never ran for that period — treat it as unknown, not as a clean pass.
  • Prior-period comparisons use the most recently processed period, not the calendar-previous month — so gaps in payroll runs are handled correctly.
  • Export: most pages have a CSV button in the header plus per-grid search/export.
